The QA-CER certification system applies to:

  • Waste sorting and recycling companies of post-consumer waste from plastics, textiles or composites
  • Plastic and textile processing companies and composite producers, applying post-industrial and post-consumer waste from plastics
  • Assembling companies producing composite products from recycled plastic components or textiles

The QA-CER certificate is issued to a company for the entirety or for parts of its activities.

QA-CER distinguishes 3 certification levels:

Level 1

SYSTEM CERTIFICATE

Certification of the management aspects of the flows and applications of recycled materials.

Niveau 2

SYSTEM AND  PRODUCT CERTIFICATE

Level 2 includes all requirements of level 1 and applies to companies desiring to guarantee the technical specifications of their products, both of the recycled material and the end product.

The company shall clearly describe the products in the scope of the certificate.

  • Product inspection by an accredited organisation

Level 3

SYSTEM AND  PRODUCT CERTIFICATE

Level 3 includes all requirements of level 2 with an additional inspection on system level of   the

ECO parameters of the product or the recycled material.

addtional requirements:

  • The company shall provide evidence of its its conformity with all parameters defined by eco-legislation,e.g. that it has installed sufficient control systems to avoid the presence of substances of very high concern listed by REACH and RoHS.
  •  Administrative inspection by BQA to assess whether the documented process and laboratory tests on the ECO-parameters are mastered.
